In the end, Star convinces everyone that the possum shouldn't be a symbol of their pride as they opposed it and they destroy the new statue Star made. I was wondering why they'd honor a possum when those were the things that were fighting.
It's like I knew a trash compactor would destroy it but instead it just breaks apart! That really was unexpected for me. 'Collateral Damage' features Star accidentally destroying the (o)possum statue that the school has as a symbol of pride.
